Crown Cave
The
Crown cave is located in Caoping village 29km
south of Guilin. This famous Lijing river attraction
is named after its crown shape. It has attracted
and inspired many writers and scholars for hundreds
of years. Xu Xiake, who explored the cave in 1637,
is believe to be the first visitor of the case
Even though the cave is 12km deep, only the first
3km near the river is explored. The cave is a
fairyland of rock formations and stalagmites.
An underground stream originating from Mt. Haiyang
empties into Lijing River at this cave. Enhanced
with automatic light and sound control guiding
system, the cave now more beautiful and navigable
than ever. It also have convenient facilities
such as railway, yacht and sightseeing elevators
for visitors. Riding in a raft down the river
enchanting scenes will be unveiled before your
eyes.
To get there: Visitors can a bus at Guilin or
making a stop at the Crown Cave Dock if you are
traveling by boat.
